After three days in Wellington we took the Northern Explorer to Auckland. This is a journey by train taking all day to get you from Wellington to Auckland, but it is the only way to get to certain areas of the Northern Island where you can't get by car of only via a detour. It did mean getting up early as the train departed at 7.55 and we needed to check in no later then .730. But it also meant we didn't have to rush it. After all, this is a sabbatical, right ;-)
Wat foto's van de reis:

We finally arrived at Aucland Railway station with about minutes delay, where we got a taxi to get to our next address. It had been a long day after all!
Until next time!\
